Acceleron™ P250 Seed Treatment System for Corn

Acceleron® P250 corn seed treatment is included in all Latham VT2 PRO® and RR2® traited products. This treatment provides superior protection against disease and early-season insects. Acceleron provides excellent control of Pythium, Fusarium, and Rhizoctonia from an exclusive fungicide combination featuring ipconazole, metalaxyl and trifloxystrobin. It also gives protection from earlyseason insect pests like seed corn maggot, grape colapsis, white grub and wireworm using clothianidin insecticide.

Acceleron PLUS Poncho 500/Votivo contains twice the rate of clothianidin insecticide as our standard treatment. According to Bayer, Poncho® 500 decreased black cutworm feeding damage by 20% compared to Poncho® 250. In the same test, Poncho® 500 had 68% less feeding damage to the closest competitive product. In another test from Bayer, Poncho® 500 had 12% and 28% more control of wireworm than Poncho® 250 and a soil insecticide standard respectively.

Corn nematodes have become a bigger issue in corn production due to reduced tillage and soil-applied insecticides in conjunction with more corn-on-corn acres. Typically, sandy soils show presence of corn nematodes most often because of their low water and nutrient holding capacity. Heavier soils exhibit less above-ground symptoms, like stunting, because they have high water and nutrient-holding capacity. However, nematodes may still be present and cause injury to root systems. Votivo colonizes around the root and provides a living barrier that nematodes cannot break through.The trend is to plant corn earlier, so it’s our goal to provide customers with the newest and best seed treatments possible. After analyzing three years of data, Bayer shows a 6-8 bushel advantage using Poncho 500/Votivo.

CruiserMaxx Vibrance Corn is included in all Latham Agrisure, Herculex, and conventional hybrids. It’s a great option for protecting your emerging corn against early season pests, such as wireworm, chinch bug, seed corn maggot, southern corn leaf beetle, corn flea beetle, black cutworm, white grub, grape colaspis, thrips, southern green stinkbug, seed corn beetle, sugarcane beetle, and corn leaf aphid. In addition, it provides control against fusarium, pythium, rhizoctonia, aspergillus, diplodia, and other early season diseases.

CruiserMaxx® Corn 250 insecticide/fungicide seed treatment protects corn seed and seedlings against early-season insects and seed- and soil-borne diseases leading to increased plant stand, uniformity, vigor and yield potential.
