Cocoa Krispies

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Karo syrup (light or dark)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Instructions

  • Combine syrup and sugar in saucepan.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until mixture bubbles. (Do not over cook).
  • Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter until completely iced.
  • Then add krispies and mix well.
  • Pour into buttered 9x13.  Make chocolate icing to cover.

Notes

Double the recipe to make a 9x13 pan or drop by the teaspoonful onto parchment paper.
