Gingerbread Men

Ingredients

2 c. sugar

1 1/2 c. shortening

2 eggs

1/2 c. molasses

1/2 tsp. salt

1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. ginger

4 c. unsifted flour

Instructions

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, molasses and spices, mixing well. Mix in flour. Roll onto floured surface and use a cookie cutter to make gingerbread men then place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350ยบ for 8 - 10 minutes.

Cool and let cookies dry out for 24 hours in open air. Paint gingerbread men and spray with sealer when completed to ensure long-lasting ornaments!
