Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1, 12-ounce package of chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy; then mix in eggs and vanilla
  2. In a separate bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Gradually add them to the creamed mixture.
  3. Mix well, and stir in chocolate chips.
  4. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.

NOTE: If batter seems too moist, add 1 or 2 Tablespoons of flour
