new lineup gives farmers a broad range of genetics and technologies designed to fit their acres
Alexander, Iowa – Latham Seeds has released its 2027 Product Guide, featuring a diverse corn, soybean and alfalfa portfolio as the Iowa-based seed company begins celebrating its 80th anniversary.
Founded by Willard and Evelyn Latham on their family farm near Alexander in 1947, Latham has grown into a regional seed company serving farmers throughout the Upper Midwest. While agriculture has changed dramatically during those eight decades, John Latham says the company’s focus has remained the same.
“Much has changed over the past 80 years, but one thing has remained constant: our commitment to helping farmers succeed,” Latham says. “I believe our 2027 lineup is the strongest portfolio we’ve ever offered.”
Highlights include:
- New K-Class soybean products combining strong yield potential with defensive characteristics.
- An expanded corn portfolio featuring multiple genetic backgrounds, trait technologies and conventional options.
- Corn products ranging from early to full-season maturities for farms across Latham Country.
- Industry-leading alfalfa genetics designed for the demands of today’s livestock producers.
Products are evaluated through Latham’s extensive research program, including replicated Elite Trials, farmer-planted Showcase Plots and Training in Excellence (T.I.E.) plots throughout the region. Farmer and dealer feedback also helps guide product selection and placement recommendations.
“We believe farmers deserve choices,” Latham says. “Our job is to provide the products, information and support they need to make the decisions that are right for their farms.”
The 2027 Product Guide also celebrates Latham’s Farmer Focused roots as the company marks 80 years in business alongside America’s 250th anniversary.
