Toffee-Style Party Mix
Ingredients
Ingredients:
- ½ to 1 cup butter, melted (equal parts to brown sugar)
- ½ to 1 cup brown sugar (equal parts to melted butter)
- 1 to 2 boxes cereal: Chex, Crispix, and/or Cheerios
- Your choice of pecans / peanuts / mixed nuts
- Pretzels
Instructions
Directions:
- Melt & boil equal parts of butter and brown sugar together in pan for 2 minutes (depending on how big a batch you want to make.)
- After butter & brown sugar are melted and boiled for a couple minutes, spread/stir over the cereal/nuts/pretzels mixture (I use my turkey roaster pan)
- Bake at 225° for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to make sure evenly coated. Cool.NOTE: No ingredient amounts are set in stone, so add according to your liking. (The less cereal you use, the more toffee coating will be on the mix. And the more cereal you use, the less coating you will have and not as sweet/flavorful.)
