Family Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
CAKE BATTER
- ¾ c. margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 ½ c. boiling water over this
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 c. cocoa (scant)
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
CHOCOLATE FROSTING
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 6 Tbsp. milk
- 6 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 c. Chocolate Chips
Instructions
CAKE INGREDIENTS
Combine margarine and sugar in a bowl then add the boiling water. Mix until combined. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Combine both mixtures and stir until combined. Lastly, add eggs and vanilla. The batter will be thin!
Bake at 350* for 30 min. in 9"x13" pan.
CHOCOLATE FROSTING
Combine sugar, milk and margarine in a saucepan and bring to a boil for one minute. Stir in chocolate chips until smooth. I blend in blender to really make it smooth. Spread on warm cake or brownies and enjoy!
