Italian Spaghetti Sauce & Meatballs
Ingredients
Sauce:
- 1 gallon tomato sauce
- 1 quart tomato juice
- 2, 6 oz. cans of tomato paste
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- 3 Tablespoons parsley
- 2 Tablespoons sweet basil
- ½ Tablespoons oregano
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ½ Tablespoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
- ½ tsp. crushed red pepper
Meatballs
- 2 pounds hamburger
- 1 pound ground pork
- 2 eggs
- 6 oz. Parmesan cheese
- 1 Tablespoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon black pepper
- 3 Tablespoon parsley
- 1 Tablespoon sweet basil
- 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
Instructions
Sauce:
Cook for about 5 hours on very low heat, with meatballs; stir every 20 minutes or so to prevent sticking.
Meatballs:
Mix all together and form into meatballs; try to get them all about the same size.
Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour and then add to spaghetti sauce.
