Pork Sausage Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 large apple, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, diced
  • 1 cup white minute rice
  • 2 packages dry chicken noodle soup mix
  • 4 cups boiling water

Instructions

Fry 1 1/2 pounds bulk pork sausage and drain off fat, saving 3T to sauté:

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 large apple, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, diced

 

In a 2 1/2 - 3 qt. casserole dish, add

  • 1 cup white minute rice
  • 2 packages dry chicken noodle soup mix
  • 4 cups boiling water

 

Mix all ingredients together in the casserole dish. Bake covered for 1 hour at 350*
