Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 5 tbsp. Butter
  • 4 tbsp. Flour
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 2 cups Grated American or Velveeta Cheese
  • 6 hard boiled eggs
  • 2 cups diced ham
  • 5 cups bread crumbs

Instructions

Directions:

  1. Melt butter and blend flour, then stir in milk.  Cook and stir until sauce boils and is thickened;  add grated cheese.
  2. Arrange 1 ½ cups bread crumbs, 3 sliced eggs, 1 cup ham in a buttered 9 x 13 pan; season with salt and pepper,  cover with ½ cheese sauce.  Repeat layers and top with buttered bread crumbs and sprinkle with paprika.
  3. For the bread crumbs on the top use remaining bread crumbs and add 2 tbsp. melted butter.
  4. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until bubbly.  It can be refrigerated after making up to 24 hours.  If refrigerated before baking cook 1 ½ - 2 hours.
