- 4 eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 c. margarine or butter, melted
- 2 c. flour
- 3 T almond extract
- Beat eggs; mix in sugar and salt.
- Add melted butter.
- Fold in flour and almond extract.
- Spread in greased 9x19-inch pan.
- Sprinkle additional white sugar on top then top with sliced or slivered almonds, if desired.
- Bake 325° for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
COOK’S NOTE: These bars are quick and easy. You get the almond enjoyment with much less work than the traditional almond bars.
