Almond Bars



  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 c. margarine or butter, melted
  • 2 c. flour
  • 3 T almond extract



  1. Beat eggs; mix in sugar and salt.
  2. Add melted butter.
  3. Fold in flour and almond extract.
  4. Spread in greased 9x19-inch pan.
  5. Sprinkle additional white sugar on top then top with sliced or slivered almonds, if desired.
  6. Bake 325° for 30 minutes. Enjoy!

COOK’S NOTE:  These bars are quick and easy.  You get the almond enjoyment with much less work than the traditional almond bars.
