Latham Farms

Our History

For over 50 years, the Latham name has stood for quality seed, outstanding service, and rural family values.

. In 1947, Willard Latham began a seed business on the family farm by cleaning farm seed for neighbors. With the help of his wife, Evelyn, and five sons, the business grew into a major regional seed company with large research, production, conditioning, and marketing programs. All through this long-term success story, Latham Seed Company has remained a family-oriented enterprise based on the original family farm.

.

The Latham Company now markets soybean seed to farmers through over 450 dealers in six upper mid-western states. The organization includes an extensive research and variety development program, a broad network of contract growers, a large modern seed conditioning plant with storage and shipping facilities, and an extensive marketing program.

The Latham family farm has been honored as a "Century Farm" because it has been owned and occupied by the same Latham family for over 100 years.  Willard Latham's grandfather established the farm in the year 1892.

The company remains committed to the highest quality products, outstanding service, and close personal relationships with its customers.
