for the Third Annual Latham Freedom
of Independence Ride!

At Latham Hi-Tech Seeds, we hold independence close to heart, and nothing shows an independent spirit like an American farmer (except perhaps an American farmer on a Harley).

Join us for a different kind of field day – Latham Hi-Tech Seeds’ Third Annual Freedom of Independence Ride, Saturday, August 27. You’ll learn about Latham® seeds and new seed technologies as we travel some of the most scenic roads in northeast Iowa and southwest Wisconsin.

Ride Details
The 90-mile ride will both begin and end in historic Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, the oldest community on the Upper Mississippi River. Activities will begin around 11:00 A.M. with a traditional Wisconsin-style barbecue and riders will be sent in groups of 20-25, with a staggered start. The ride will end around 6 p.m. with a complimentary hog roast.

The route will feature four showcase plots including Latham® Hi-Tech Hybrids and Latham® Hi-Tech Soybeans with LibertyLink®, Agrisure® and the Genuity® family of traits and technologies.

As we travel through both states there will be many fun stops along the way. While riding south through Wisconsin, at Cassville, we’ll cross the Mississippi on the notable Cassville Car Ferry, which has served the area since 1833. Another pit stop will be Guttenberg, Iowa, named one of America's 20 Prettiest Towns by ForbesTraveler.com. Participants can take a break to tour Lock and Dam 10, visit the Guttenberg Aquarium and Fish Management Station, or stroll along the two-mile river walk.

Traveling Iowa's byways on the Great River Road, riders are sure to enjoy breathtaking views of limestone bluffs and charming river towns!

Freedom of Independence Ride

I, (PRINT NAME) on my own behalf and on behalf of my heirs, personal representatives, successors, and assigns, for and in consideration of the opportunity to participate today in the Latham Freedom of Independence Ride (herein referred to as "Independence Ride) being held Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, and sponsored by Latham Hi-Tech Hybrids (dba Latham Hi-Tech Seeds), and for other valuable consideration, the receipt and adequacy which is hereby acknowledged, hereby releases and forever discharges Latham Hi-Tech Seeds Inc., its officers, employees, agents ("Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, rights and causes of action of any kind whatsoever, whether known or unknown, which I now have or later may have against the Released Parties in any way resulting from, arising out of, or connected in any way to my participation in the Freedom of Independence ride being held and sponsored by Latham Hi-Tech Seeds.

I acknowledge and agree that I have read and fully understand the above. * (Initial)

This Release extends to any and all claims I now have or may have against the Released Parties, even if such claims result from strict liability or negligence on the part of any or all Released Parties, if it concerns the design, manufacture, repair or maintenance of my motorcycle(s) involved in the Freedom of Independence ride, or if it concerns the conditions, qualifications, instructions, rules or procedures under which the Freedom of Independence ride is conducted, or from any other cause. However, I am not releasing any released party from any intentional misconduct.

I hereby state that I am a licensed motorcycle operator, that I am experienced in and familiar with the operation of various motorcycles, that I am familiar with the rules of the road, as applicable to motorcycles, and that I fully understand the risks and dangers inherent in motorcycling. I am voluntarily participating in the Independence Ride, and I expressly agree to assume the entire risk of any accidents or personal injury, including death, which I might suffer or which I might cause as a result of my participation in the Independence Ride. I agree that I am participating in the Independence Ride knowing the existing weather conditions, the existing road conditions and the condition of the motorcycle I will be operating in the Independence Ride.
